Panna cotta

Ingredients
- 400 ml fresh cream
- 1 vanilla pod (or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract)
- 6 g gelatin sheets
- 80 g sugar
- 80 ml milk
- Del Monteยฎ Fruit Stories Apricot for topping
INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1:
Soak the gelatin sheets in cold water for 10 minutes, until softened.
STEP 2:
In a saucepan, combine the cream, milk, sugar and vanilla.
If using vanilla extract, add it directly to the saucepan.
If using a vanilla pod, split it lengthwise, scrape out the seeds and add both seeds and pod to the mixture.
Heat over medium heat without bringing to a boil (it should just come close to boiling), then remove from heat.
STEP 3:
Add the well-squeezed gelatin to the saucepan (with the heat off). If you used the vanilla pod, remove it at this stage.
Stir until completely dissolved.
STEP 4:
Pour the panna cotta into moulds or small glass jars. Let it cool slightly, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
Before serving, add a generous layer of Del Monteยฎ Fruit Stories Apricot on top. Its fruit pieces and natural texture make it the perfect topping for your panna cotta.
